Girl Touch Co
I decided on the type of business I wanted; a store which allowed anyone regardless of gender, size, and culture to be able to express themselves freely through fashion at low prices.
Ever since I was about 6 years old I’ve wanted my own business; I knew I wanted to be the owner of something.
I guess it’s always been in my blood since my whole family has owned a business: mother, cousins, etc.
Even though I was a very confident and expressive kid, once social media started to become popular, I suffered with a lot of self-esteem issues.
I was afraid of expressing myself because I didn’t look like every other girl on the Internet.
In 7th grade was when I decided on the type of business I wanted; a store which allowed anyone regardless of gender, size, and culture to be able to express themselves freely through fashion at low prices.
I started my research and was able to open my online boutique during my freshman year of high school.
I wanted to create a place in which people trusted in because they were being represented.
Although my sales have been a little slower because of the Covid-19 pandemic, I’m able to spend more time on my business and work out on my plan for the future and what’s next.
It’s still only the beginning and I’m hoping to inspire younger entrepreneurs to go after what they want regardless of who they are, where they came from or what people say.
One can truly achieve something if they put their heart and mind to it, even if they only start with $15.
